Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to aalaa.co.in and every order placed through it (together, the "Site"). In these Terms, "Aalaa", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the business operating the Site, and "you" refers to the person browsing, registering, or placing an order. By using the Site, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site, and feel free to write to us at hello@aalaa.co.in with your concerns beforehand.

Who we are

Aalaa sells honey, cold pressed oils, stone ground spices, and millets, sourced directly from small farms across India. We are based in Karur, Tamil Nadu, and this Site is how we sell to both individual customers and registered retail partners.

Accounts and signing in

Access to the Site does not use passwords. When you register or sign in, we send a one time verification code to your phone (by WhatsApp or SMS) or your email, and entering that code confirms your identity. You are responsible for keeping that code confidential and for all activity on your account. If you believe your phone, email, or account has been accessed without your permission, sign out from all devices where possible and contact us immediately.

You agree to provide accurate and current information at signup and at checkout, including your name, delivery address, and phone number. We are not responsible for delivery failures that result from incorrect or incomplete information you have provided.

Product information and pricing

We describe our products as accurately as we are able to, including weight, origin, and any laboratory or certification details we hold on file. As natural products, minor batch to batch variation, such as honey crystallizing or oil colour shifting seasonally, is expected and is not a defect.

All prices on the Site are listed in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of GST at the applicable rate. We may change prices or run promotions at any time; the price payable for an order is the price confirmed at checkout, regardless of any price displayed at an earlier time.

Customers registered with us as retail or wholesale partners are shown pricing determined by their account tier. We reserve the right to set and revise these tiers and their associated pricing.

Orders and payment

We accept payment through Razorpay (covering UPI, cards, netbanking, and wallets) and through Cash on Delivery, where an additional handling fee applies and is disclosed before you confirm the order. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase, which we accept once payment is verified or, for Cash on Delivery, once the order is confirmed for dispatch. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where we reasonably suspect fraud, where stock has become unavailable after the order was placed, or where a pricing or listing error cannot be honoured.

Delivery charges are calculated from your delivery address and the total weight of your order, and are shown at checkout before payment. Orders above the free delivery threshold applicable to your address are delivered at no additional charge.

Aalaa Points

Orders placed through the Site earn Aalaa Points, redeemable against future purchases in accordance with the terms shown in your account. Points carry no cash value, are not transferable between accounts, and may be adjusted or reversed where the order on which they were earned is later cancelled or refunded.

Shipping, returns, and cancellations

Delivery timelines and charges are set out in our Shipping Policy, and cancellations, returns, and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Both are incorporated into, and form part of, these Terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to scrape or systematically extract data from the Site, attempt to circumvent account or payment security, submit false or misleading reviews, or otherwise use the Site for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for accounts found to be misusing the Site, including through automated verification requests, fraudulent orders, or abuse of our contact or review forms.

Limitation of liability

We take reasonable care in sourcing, testing, and packaging our products. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from delivery delays, the handling of a package once it is with our courier partner, or use of a product outside its intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy available to you under applicable Indian consumer protection law.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time, typically to reflect a new feature, payment option, or change in our policies. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated. Continued use of the Site after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karur, Tamil Nadu.
